Maharashtra TET examination – Tentative details

The tentative details of the Maharashtra TET examination would include 

  • Notification for the examination – First week of August 2023
  • Online application – till the fourth week of August 2023
  • Admit card issuance – 4th week of September 
  • The Maha TET  exam – second week of October 2023
  • Result – The date to be announced 

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra TET 2023

The eligibility criteria for the Maharashtra TET 2023 is in tune with the rest of the examinations of similar genre in other states

A few more details that you need to have proper knowledge of when applying for the Maha TET include 

  • Age limit – 17 to 38 years 
  • Number of attempts – no limit until you reach the higher age limit
  • Residence status – Maharashtra 

The application fees for the Maharashtra TET would be 

  • General category – Rs. 500 for one paper and Rs 800 for both papers
  • SC, ST, and disabled categories – Rs 250 for one paper and Rs 400 for two papers 

The Maharashtra TET exam pattern

The examination pattern will have two papers of 150 marks each. The questions will be of multiple choice genre. 

Paper 1 – 

Number of sections – 5

Subjects – Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies

Paper 2 – 

Number of sections – 4

Subjects – Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies

You can answer the two papers in multiple languages. The language used for the examination would include Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Kannada, Telugu, English, Gujarati etc.
