TNTET Application Fee 2023

The application fees that the candidates are expected to pay would be on the following lines. Some categories may be exempted from the payment of fees. Check the official notification for the exact details.

TN TET 2023 – Eligibility criteria 

The eligibility criteria for applying to the TN TET examination would be 

For TN TET Paper-I (for classes I-V)

  • Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50 % marks along with a 2-year Diploma Programme in Elementary Education
  • Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45 %marks, along with a two-year Diploma program in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with a two-year Diploma program in Elementary Education
  • Graduation with at least 50 %marks. Appearing or passed in the final year of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

For TN TET Paper-II (for classes VI-VIII)

  • Graduation with a two-year Diploma program in Elementary Education
  • Graduation with 50% marks and the Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) program

Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2023 Salary Structure

The salaries of the appointed teachers are decided by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board. Please note that simply clearing the exam will not make you get the job. The appointments will be made as and when required, but you need to have cleared the examination to be eligible to get appointed.

Is the TNTET Exam conducted every year?

Yes, the TN TET examination is conducted every year by the Teachers Recruitment Board of Tamil Nadu

How long will the TNTET certificate be valid?

The TN TET examination certificate, once obtained, will be valid for an entire lifetime. You need not appear to the examination repeatedly, except when you want to improve your scores.
