Important Notes on AP TET 2023 Eligibility

If you are someone pursuing the final year of a Diploma in elementary education (D.Ed)/ Undergraduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed)/ Diploma in Physical Education(D.P.Ed)/Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)/Language Pandit Training/Bachelor of physical education etc, you can apply for the AP TET examination. 

The Diploma/Degree in Teacher Education or Degree in physical education is also an eligible qualification for appearing at the AP TET 2023. Other qualifications supported would include an intermediate qualification from the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh State or its equivalent or a Bachelor’s Degree from a University Recognized by UGC. 

AP TET 2023 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for the AP TET examinations is on similar lines as the TET examinations conducted by the other states. Here are the complete details on the pattern for the AP TET examination-

The fees to be paid for applying for the AP TET examination would be on the following lines 

  • Paper 1 – Rs 500
  • Paper 2 – Rs 500
  • Both Paper 1 and 2 – Rs 1000

FAQs

What are the qualifying marks for the AP TET examination?

If you belong to the unreserved category, you should get at least 60% marks in the AT TET examination. The reserved category students should get a minimum of 50%  marks to be qualified. 

How many attempts are allowed for the AP TET examination? 

You can apply for the AP TET examination as many times as you would want to. There is no limit on the number of attempts. 

What is the validity of the AP TET certificate? 

The APTET certificate is valid for the period of a lifetime once you have cleared it.
