WB TET 2023 Application fee

The application fees to be paid would be in tune with the category that a candidate belongs to. The details of the applications are as here below –

WB TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the different teacher posts would be on the following lines 

Age limit – The age limit should be between 18 years to 38 years 

Educational qualification – You should have completed B. El. Ed. or B. Ed. or D. Ed. or BTA from a recognized university or institution

WB TET examination – exam pattern

  • Mode of examination – Offline mode
  • Number of papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2
  • Language of the examination – English, Hindi, and Bengali language.
  • Number of questions – A total of 150 questions in each paper 
  • Total marks – 150 on each paper 
  • Marking scheme – one mark for each correct answer. No negative marking

WB TET Cut-Off Marks

The cut-off marks at the TET examinations would be based on the category that you have applied for and the number of positions available.

The cut-off marks would generally be on the following lines –

  • General – 60% marks
  • Reserved category – 55% marks 



Who conducts the WB TET exam?

The West Bengal TET examination is conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE).

Is the WB TET exam held every year?

Yes, under normal circumstances, the TET examinations in West Bengal are held every year. However, the actual frequency of the examination is decided by the conducting body, i.e. WBBPE

What is the validity period of the WB TET certificate?

The WB TET certificate is valid for a lifetime 

How much is the WB TET application fee?

The WB TET examination fees would fit the candidates and their category. The fees for the unreserved candidates such as General, EWS, and OBC is Rs 100, and that for the reserved categories is Rs 50
