UPTET Notification 2017: The Board was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first examination in 1923. This Board is one in India which, from the very start, had adopted 10+2 system of examination. The first public examination after 10 years education is High School Examination and after the 10+2 stage, there is Intermediate Examination. Prior to 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examinations.

UPTET Qualification 2017:
Applying candidates must Completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute affiliated by UGC with 50% marks.
- For Primary Teacher (Class I to V) – 2 years Diploma in special education (D.Ed.) or BTC training.
- For Upper Primary Teacher (Class VI to VIII)- Course of 1-year duration like B.EL.ED or BTC.
UPTET Application Fees 2017:
General/OBC category candidates have to pay Rs.500/-
SC/ST/PWD category candidates have to pay Rs.150/-
